Global Wind Organisation announces extended flexibility for refresher training

The Global Wind Organisation (GWO) recently announced a temporary measure to extend flexibility for refresher training in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The pandemic has meant training centres delivering GWO training in the UK have had to postpone training to help slow the spread of the virus.

GWO certificate holders may be able to take their planned refresher training up until 60 days after the expiry date of their certificate. Those wishing to refresh their previous training within this timeframe need to contact their Training Provider. The GWO has agreed to implement this temporary measure until the 1st June 2020.

This temporary measure does not constitute an extension of the certificate validity period and does not constitute an exemption towards employers to ensure employees have adequate safety competences.
