Privacy Policy

Who we are

When we refer to `we`, `our`, `us` or `CWind Training`, we are referring to CWind Training and its subsidiaries, or any of them, as the context indicates.

Application of Our Privacy Policy

Our privacy policy applies to the information collected when when a user makes use of any of the electronic communication means (including but not limited to telephone, fax, email, and any of our websites) to contact us.

General Visit of Our Website

When the user visits our websites to view any pages, read product information, no personal information is exchanged. While we do not collect identifying or personal information about visitors to our websites, we do use standard software to collect information for the strict purpose of tracking activity on our websites. This allows us to better understand how many people use our websites and which pages and features are most popular. The only information we normally collect, and store is:

  • The name of the users Internet service provider
  • The web site that referred the user to us (if any)
  • The date and time the pages were accessed
  • The page or pages the user requested

Submitting Personal Information via Our Website

There are instances where the user  may elect to provide us with personal information* via our website. By filling  out one of our feedback or request forms on our websites or by sending us an email, the user is agreeing to transmitthe information that appears in the form or the message. This will typically include information such as the users name, mailing address, email address, the type of request that the user is making, and any other information necessary to fulfil the users request. This information cannot be collected unless the user  specifically elects to send it to us.

When the user submits personally identifying information via one of our feedback or application forms, that information is not identifiable before it is transmitted back to our websites. This effectively prevents anyone from intercepting and reading any personal information about the user. Note that this encryption does not take place if the user sends us email, but only when the user utilses thieir web browser with one of our sites’ forms. We will not accept responsibility for any unauthorised access or loss of personal information that is beyond our control.

Use of Information

The information that the user provides is stored and used internally only for the purpose of fulfillingthe users  request, for contacting the user directly, or for keeping track of commercial transactions, and will not be given or sold to any other organization. We will not use the users  personal details for direct marketing purposes unless the user expressly consents to this. Please be advised that ifthe user agrees to give information to us, we may pass it to our subsidiaries outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). Please be aware that some countries outside the EEA may not have the same level of data protection as in EEA.

Users under 18

Users under the age of18 years old, should  have obtained parental / guardian’s permission in advance whenever providing any personnel information.

We reserve the right to change our privacy policy at any time. A revised policy statement will only apply to data collected subsequent to its effective date.

General Visit of Our Website

When users visit our websites to view any pages, read product information, users can do so without telling us who they are and without revealing any personal information by rejecting cookies in their browser. We use a marketing tool on our website called Hubspot, which allows us to identify users who enable cookies within their browser so that we can provide them with more targeted, relevant content during future visits. We also use the Google Analytics tracking code to monitor user activity on our websites. This allows us to better understand how many people use our websites and which pages and features are most popular.

Submitting Personal Information via Our Website

There are instances where users may elect to provide us with personal information* via our website. If a user decides to fill out one of the contact, feedback or request forms on our websites or send us an email, users are transmitting the information that appears to you in the form or the message. This will typically include information like your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, the kind of request that you are making, and any other information necessary to fulfil your request. We may use each users personal information to contact users directly about CWind Training courses and offers that we believe are relevant to each user and/or their company. Users can opt out of these emails at any time using the opt out link at the bottom of the email. We will never sell your personal information to a third party.

We will not accept responsibility for any unauthorised access or loss of personal information that is beyond our control.

Submitting Sensitive Information via Our Website

In order to book a place on one of our courses, users (or the delegates you are booking the course for) will need to provide us with sensitive information in the form of a medical declaration document. This ensures that users are fit and well to take part in the course and that our equipment can protect you and others on the course from unnecessary hazards.

We will request this sensitive information either by email or file upload, and it will be stored in our secure, cloud-based system once it has been checked and verified by one of our course administrators. We will never sell this sensitive information or use it for marketing purposes.
